It started with a frustrated bathroom installer

In 2021, our award winning proprietor Brett Cattlin, a perfectionist product designer with over 25 years experience installing bathrooms, set out to fix the frustrating problems he encountered with bath screens regularly and was unable to find a solution for. After thousands of hours prototyping, Brett discovered his first solution and filed a patent, which is now granted in the UK (GB2609237A).

 

Then along came Kim...

In 2022, after Brett had installed two bathrooms for Chartered Accountant Kimberley,

he showed her his designs! She was currently running a lettings business and had encountered leaky bath screens in a rental portfolio that had caused a lot of damage and had worked in building products industry for a decade previously so was eager to help out!  After significant market research and industry corroboration, Kimberley provided investment and joined forces with Brett to launch Watertight™  to bring the product to market. 

 

They got busy...

Over the coming years, Brett continued to develop to stop leaks from various places perfecting the designs, making them easy to install and cheap to mass produce, and even solved other problems with screens like the green algae build up.  He then created a unique retrofit seal solution for already installed screens! A further patent was filed in 2023, another in 2024 and another in 2025!

Brett won installer of the year...

In February 2025, Brett was the "worthy winner" of BiKBBI's Installer of the year for his Solihull Bathrooms installation business with flawless 5 star google rating! He also appeared on the front cover of their magazine in both Apr-25 and May-25 with the latter including a 6 page spread interview  where Brett is described as having an "inspiring inventive approach" with "infectious enthusiasm"! ​To read the full interview click here!

We signed up a manufacturer... 

After lengthly discussions, development, costings and negotiations with various suppliers, we selected our first manufacturer for our bath screen.  In December 2025, we signed our first licensing contract and have been working hard on our partnership and setting up the product tooling! 

 

We're going global...  

We were awarded a UK government grant to assist us with our business enabling us to extend our patent protection worldwide! We also filed another patent in January 2026. Our product launched at the popular US KBIS show in Febryary 2026!

Our Bath Screen is coming soon...

We are in discussions with suppliers, distributors and retailers all over the world to supply our products starting with our Bath Screen in Spring 2026, followed by our Universal Seal thereafter as ​

we believe all swing shower screens should be WATERTIGHT™!
