What do we mean by 'Watertight'?
Whilst we've been on a mission to solve leaks for well over 5 years, it is still very important that our products are suitable for installation and then installed, and maintained, as per the instructions for optimum performance, so please review these instructions here prior to purchase.
Our products have been meticulously designed to solve the problems that have frustrated a bathroom installer for many years. We have used the best materials and thoroughly tested and refined our designs for superior long lasting performance and make them as easy as possible to install correctly. Our products far surpass both the required Water Retention tests set in British and European standards and the many screens sold (that leak) that describe themselves as merely a "splash guard". Bath screens notoriously leak in the bottom corner where the strip seal meets the screen hinge, but leaks can also happen behind the pivoting barrel profile or between joins in the bath screen parts. We have solved all the issues we can in our bath screen with innovative technology in 8 places covered across 4 separate patents in the collective design of the screen parts, integrated seals and bottom strip seal. Our screen has proven to withstand a direct shower spray at the hinge and wall channel (which is not considered normal use) for over 10 minutes (longer than the average shower), far surpassing anything we have ever seen before and thus we consider 'Watertight' to be a more than deserving name for it! So much so, we're using it as our brand trademark too! We acknowledge that our screen relies on a flexible and deformable strip seals and with excessive water pressure (such as a jet washer) this will distort the seal and leaks will undoubtedly occur. But if installed correctly and used sensibly (kids splashing and rinsing the screen after clean is fine), we're confident you'll never have to worry about a leaking bath screen ever again!
Our Universal Seal comes with some of our Watertight™ Technology features from our bath screen with a focus on preventing leaks between the screen hinge and strip seal where they commonly occur and in many cases can completely stop leaks here. We've spent considerable time trying to make the installation as easy as possible with supplied cutting guides to get the perfect fit. However our product cannot prevent leaks through the existing bath screen, like behind the barrel. Also it only fits the most common of baths and bath screens as specified without unusual notches or steps or extreme bath slopes, so our solution cannot offer complete watertight performance with every installation, as all it takes is a pin hole gap and water will exploit it! To stop leaks completely, you may need to install one of our Watertight™ bath screens.

First review installation instructions here ... we expect most issues can be resolved by following these

Has the strip seal been adjusted so it just meets with the bath screen edge the whole length of the screen? The upper channel of the strip seal has notches for the lower seal to fit into. Start with the strip seal fully inserted in the highest position and pull downwardly. It should very slightly curve when in contact with the bath. Too much and the seal will kink, too little and they'll be a gap!

Is the strip seal fully inserted into the centre slot of the Rubber DrySeal? We suggest you check this with the screen in the open position for easier access and less resistance from the bath edge?

Is the Rubber DrySeal fully in position on all sides?

Did you wait 24 hours to let the silicone dry? If not, reapply the silicone and wait.

Did you wipe off excess silicone around the bottom end plate as per the instructions? It is imperative excess silicone is removed as otherwise it will cause the seal to lift in the corner where leaks are prone.

Are leaks coming from behind the screen barrel of our bath screen? If so, check all screws are tight.

For the Universal Seal Rubber DrySeal:

Have you checked the bath is level and that the Universal Seal will fit?

Have you got an irregular shaped hinge - unlike the cylindrical hinge shown?

Is the correct size Rubber DrySeal being used?

Has the bottom of the Dryseal been cut perfectly smooth and straight? If not, email us and we can provide a new one for a small postage charge.

If the leak is coming from the screen joints itself of the existing bath screen and not where the screen hinge meets the strip seal, then this is an issue with the screen that our retrofit product sadly cannot resolve. You'll need to purchase one of our Watertight Bath Screens - but why not give your seal to a friend with a leaky screen.. we bet you have one!

If you're still having leaks, send us an email with proof of purchase, leak details, photos and videos and we we'll do our very best to help you. If there's a product fault, we will replace the faulty parts if purchased within the last 2 years.
